Central Receiving has new location, clarifies guidelines
From Central Receiving
Due to campus construction, Central Receiving has moved from the Physical Plant building to a trailer office in the black fenced parking lot north of McCarthy Gym and just west of the Anderson Parking Ramp on south campus. The new address protocol for Central Receiving is:
UST Central Receiving
name of recipient/PO number
Cretin & Grand
2115 Summit Ave.
St. Paul, MN 55105
The hours for Central Receiving remain, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There have been some questions about implementation of the new Purchasing Guidelines initiated last fall. To clarify and address those questions: All purchase orders of $3,000 or more need documentation in order to be received in Banner. Our auditors and the Controller's office require physical or digital storage of any shipping papers and/or packing lists related to purchases of over $3,000. These documents need to be signed and dated with the day of delivery by the receiving individual or department. If the delivery is complete, it should be so marked on the same documents.
Purchases over $3,000 will not be received in Banner nor the vendor paid until these documents are received by Central Receiving. This may be done by campus mail or by fax or by making the documents into PDF files and e-mailing them to Bob Douglas, the coordinator of Central Receiving. Failure to keep documentation or to forward documentation to Central Receiving will result in a delay of payment to the vendor, possible additional late charges to the ordering department and, in the month of June, the possibility of payment having to come from next fiscal year's budget.
This policy applies only to purchase orders of $3,000 or more. In the case of POs under $3,000, no communication is necessary with Central Receiving for data entry and payment.
Documentation and/or questions should be directed to:
