A big thank you to all St. Thomas community members who participated in the campuswide clothing drive held at the end of last semester by the Mid-Campus Council. Together the St. Thomas community was able to donate several large bags full of gently used clothing to the Marie Sandvik Center.
The center is located in inner city Minneapolis, providing for the material and spiritual needs of the poor. The center receives no monetary aid from the government, but rather is run solely on church and private donations, so the clothing donation from St. Thomas was appreciated.
St. Thomas sophomore Joshua Serre, who was in charge of running this drive through Mid-Campus Council, says: “Thanks to the St. Thomas community, we were able to collect two full car loads of clothes to donate to the Marie Sandvik Center."
