Congratulations to faculty who have earned tenure or promotion in May!
The University of St. Thomas is pleased to announce that the following faculty members have received tenure or promotion in rank. These recommendations were made by the Tenure and Promotion Committee at its recent meetings and were subsequently approved by Father Dennis Dease, president of the university.
Tenure and promotion to associate professor
- Christopher Greene, School of Engineering
Promotion to full professor
- William Cavanaugh, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Theology
- Stephen Laumakis, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy
- Charles Reid, School of Law
Promotion to associate professor
- Julie Oseid, School of Law
The Tenure and Promotion Committee also recommended, and Dease approved, the appointment of David Deeds as Sandra Schulze Endowed Chair and director of the Morrison Center for Entrepreneurship in the Opus College of Business. Deeds, who is currently at the University of Texas at Dallas, will be a tenured member of the faculty at the rank of full professor.
