Cookies, good cheer offered at holiday poetry, fiction reading Dec. 7

A holiday poetry-and-fiction reading will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the O'Shaughnessy ("leather") Room, Room 108, O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.

At this event, English Department students, faculty and staff will read stories and poems from diverse holiday traditions. All members of the UST community are invited to come for cookies, hot drinks and good cheer.

Guests and participants are invited to bring donations of new or gently used children's books, which will be donated to the Sheila Wellstone Center Library. Collection boxes also are located in the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, the Charles J. Keffer Library, in Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and on the third floor of the John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.

The holiday poetry-and-fiction reading and book drive are sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, the UST English honor society and literary club.
