Counseling and Psychological Services Offers Three Fall Groups

Counseling and Psychological Services is offering three student groups this semester.

Eating Disorder Recovery Group

This is a group for women who are interested in maintaining their recovery from anorexia, bulimia or disordered eating. Through talking with others, creative activity and personal reflection, students will support each other, develop a healthier body image and, in turn, a stronger self-image. The group meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays in Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. For more information email Deb Broderick or Lindsay Varkula, or call (651) 962-6780.

Relationships Group

How do you relate to the people in your life? Ever wonder how others see you? Get feedback and ideas for addressing these questions and enhance personal relationships, increase self-awareness and strengthen communication skills. The group will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. For more information call (651) 962-6780, or email Steve Maurer or Heather Killeen Bode.

Grief and Loss Group

This group provides a venue for students who have experienced a significant loss to come together and gain support as they work through their feelings and adjust to life post-loss. The group will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays in Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. For more information or to set up a brief intake interview, contact Sarah Armstrong or Megan Cobb, or call (651) 962-6780.
