Credit Union celebrates International Credit Union Week with open houses

The St. Thomas Employee Federal Credit Union will join with other credit unions worldwide to celebrate International Credit Union Week Oct. 13-17. The theme of the week this year is "It Belongs to Me," a reference to credit unions are co-ops owned by their members.

In St. Paul, an open house will be held from from noon to 3 p.m. (regular hours) Monday, Oct. 13, outside the credit union office, Room 209, Loras Hall.

In Minneapolis, the credit union staff will be at a table in the second floor atrium from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, in Terrence Murphy Hall.

All UST employees are invited to stop by, enjoy some treats, enter a raffle and find out more about the credit union. All employees and immediate family members are eligible to join the credit union. Funds in the credit union are insured up to at least $250,000 per account holder by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. government agency.
