In order to give its members one final chance to withdraw funds or to receive a Santa Special loan before Christmas, the St. Thomas Employee Federal Credit Union will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22. The credit union normally is closed on Wednesdays.
Since the St. Thomas payroll of Friday, Dec. 31, will be disbursed on Dec. 22, the payroll deduction amounts from that payroll will be available in members’ share accounts.
The credit union will close its year at the end of day on Dec. 22. (The credit union, and the university, will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2; the credit union will not receive U.S. mail until Monday, Jan. 3.) Deposits or loan payments received after Dec. 22 will be processed when the credit union reopens on Jan. 3 and will be dated Jan. 3.
"Please plan accordingly," remarked Adrienne Sturm, credit union manager, "and have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!"
