St. Thomas has concluded negotiations with Davanni’s to allow the popular pizza and hoagie restaurant to take the UST eXpress Card for orders on food deliveries to students in university-controlled student housing in St. Paul, and to students, faculty and staff at their off-campus residences in the St. Paul campus neighborhood, effective today (Oct. 15).
Mark Vangsgard, vice president for business affairs and chief financial officer, pointed out that the agreement "does not allow Davanni’s to accept eXpress payments to deliver food to any other buildings owned by the university. Food on campus related to student clubs, staff or faculty meetings, events, etc., must continue to be purchased through UST food service operations.”
Davanni's deliveries will not be provided on the Minneapolis campus because there are no student residences.
