College Democrats-College Republicans Debate Kicks off Bi-partisan Week

The St. Thomas College Democrats and College Republicans will debate at 7 p.m. today, Monday, April 4, in the O'Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium. This is the second annual debate between the two clubs, and it will kick of Bi-partisan Week.

TommieMedia will serve as debate moderators. Topics will include foreign relations, the economy and health care. Audience members can ask questions through TommieMedia’s Facebook and Twitter pages. The event is free and open to the public.

On Tuesday, April 5, the two clubs will hold a combined meeting as a way to get to know club members and find common ground on issues.

On Thursday, at 6 p.m., the clubs will host a BBBQ – or bi-partisan barbecue in the upper quad. All UST community members are invited for dinner and conversation.

The two clubs hope to combine forces in the near future to fulfill their service hours.
