Donations of coats and jackets needed for People Serving People

The Social Work Club will collect new and gently used coats and jackets for adults and children living at People Serving People in Minneapolis.

Do you have a new or gently used coat you can donate?

You are asked to donate coats and jackets for adults and children during convo hour, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 1 and 3, in the lower quad. Be sure to get one of the cookies donated by a local business that will be available that day as a little thank you for your generosity.

One of the largest providers of emergency housing in Minnesota, People Serving People provides housing and support services in Hennepin County for up to 440 homeless people per night. Approximately 60 percent of PSP’s residents are children, with an average age of 7. PSP’s mission is to provide a safe, sober environment for homeless families while promoting self-sufficiency.
