Dr. Lon Otto appointed interim director of the Aquinas Scholars Program

From Dr. Michael Jordan
Director of Undergraduate Academic Affairs

Dr. Lon Otto has been appointed interim director of the Aquinas Scholars Program, serving from January through July 2007. Otto, a professor in the English Department, has been involved in the Aquinas Scholars Program for many years as a teacher and for a number of years as a member of the program's faculty board. He is a former Professor of the Year and has extensive experience working with students outside the classroom through his work (which continues) as faculty adviser for the Summit Avenue Review.

Dr. David Landry provided excellent leadership for the program for 3.5 years and has chosen to step down from this position at the end of December 2006. During this academic year, Landry was serving an additional year beyond the regular three-year term for the director, and we will conduct a search for a new director whose term will begin in July 2007.
