E3 Lecture Series to Discuss 'What Makes an Excellent Urban Education?' Tonight

The first installment of this year’s E3 education series will be a public forum tonight co-sponsored by the St. Thomas School of Education and KMOJ 89.9 FM radio. Dean Bruce Kramer and Dr. Eleni Roulis from the School of Education will join “Urban Agenda” host Lissa Jones to discuss “What makes an excellent urban education?”

This show will be broadcast live from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, on 89.9 FM radio.

Jones is the host of “Urban Agenda” on KMOJ, heard every Thursday night 6 to 7 p.m. The goal of “Urban Agenda” is to openly discuss and debate issues and policies that are confronting the safety and health of the urban community. Jones also the executive director of African American Family Services, which has offices in both Minneapolis and St. Paul.

E3 is a yearly community lecture series focusing on issues of education and hosted by the School of Education. This year’s theme is excellence, equity and education.
