Fall Lunch and Lecture Series opens with reflection on 'Caritas in Vertitate'

The St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity will conduct its 2009-10 Lecture and Lunch series in connection with two important recent proclamations from Pope Benedict XVI: “Caritas in Vertitate” and the Year for Priests. The first event is Friday, Oct. 9; see the fall schedule below.

All students, staff and faculty are welcome. The talks, free and open to the public, will be given by theologians from the seminary and university. The speakers are: Dr. Michael Naughton and Dr. Robert Kennedy, who teach in the Catholic Studies Department and the College of Business;Sister Katarina Schuth, from the seminary; and Father Andrew Cozzens, also from the seminary.

Each program will run from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library on the south campus next to the seminary courtyard. A pizza lunch will be provided; reservations are requested by Wednesday, Oct. 7.
