Feb. 3 Feminist Friday topic is Leaders of Today and Tomorrow Conference

Everyone is welcome to the next Feminist Friday discussion, which will feature an informal presentation by UST undergraduate students. These students will share what they learned while attending the January 2006 Women Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) Conference. They will discuss the Minnesota women who are changing the world through elected office, the courts, the arts and the media.

This Feminist Friday presentation will be held from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. This discussion is free and open to the public. Bring your lunch; dessert and beverages will be provided.

Friday’s presentation should be of special interest to UST women students who are sophomores and juniors because they are eligible to apply for scholarships to attend the 2007 LOTT conference from the University Committee on Women Coordinating Council and the Luann Dummer Center for Women.

Here is a list of the presenters and their majors:

  • Tiffany Orth, political science and environmental studies
  • Kate Boran, Spanish and sociology
  • Tenzin Dolkar, international studies
  • Lindsay Blair, communication studies and English
  • Ann Hepola, accounting and economics
