Women's center awards three research fellowships on topics related to women

Sara Joyce, Rebecca Peine and Theresa Downing have been awarded research fellowships for the 2010-11 academic year by the Luann Dummer Center for Women Advisory Board.

Joyce has been awarded the Undergraduate Research on Topics Related to Women fellowship for her proposal on Florence Goodenough, a pioneering woman psychologist of the 1930s and 1940s. She will work with Dr. Ann Johnson, Psychology Department.

Peine and Downing have been awarded Graduate Student Research on Topics Related to Women fellowships.

Peine will research “A Place at the Table: The Experience of Women Student Affairs Administrators in Catholic Higher Education.” She will work with Dr. Kathleen Boyle, Leadership in Student Affairs.

Downing will research “Encapsulating Sexual Agency: The Sculptural Costume Environments of Stephanie Liner.” She will work with Dr. Shelly Nordtrop-Madson, Art History.
