Fidelity Investment campus visit and brown-bag seminars are Aug. 30, 31
A Fidelity Investment representative will be on campus for one-to-one consultations and to present two brown bag seminars. Employees wishing to make an appointment for a consultation session should call (800) 642-7131.

- 8:30-11:30 a.m. – One-to-one consultations
- Noon-1 p.m. – Seminar: “Determining Your Investment Strategy,” in Room 247, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts
- 1:30-6 p.m. – One-to-one consultations
Wednesday, Aug. 31, in Room 352, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus
- 8:30-11:30 a.m. – One-to-one consultations
- Noon-1 p.m. – Seminar: “Finding Simple Ways to Save More for Retirement,” in Room 354, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus
- 1:30-6 p.m. – One-to-one consultations
The brown-bag seminar, “Determining Your Investment Strategy,” will be of interest to employees who are enrolled in a Fidelity plan but are unsure if they are investing appropriately. The facilitator will illustrate the benefits of appropriate asset allocation and have the participants complete workbook exercises designed to help them become more engaged in the process. As a result of this workshop participants will know what asset allocation is appropriate for them. With this knowledge they can select appropriate mutual funds for their investment options.
This workshop will help you:
- Understand asset allocation
- Understand advantages of a workplace savings plan
- Learn characteristics of stocks, bonds and short-term investments
- Determine an appropriate target-asset mix and know when to adjust asset allocation over time
The brown-bag seminar, “Finding Simple Ways to Save More for Retirement,” will be of interest to employees who may have stopped contributing or may not have increased their contributions in a while. The facilitator will highlight a variety of ways that employees can maximize their contributions while selecting realistic savings goals.

- Understand various ways to find extra money to save more for retirement
- Learn how small contributions can increase over time
