Videos showcase Opus Prize honorees, events

Five videos about the 2009 Opus Prize are available on the St. Thomas Opus Prize Web site.

The Web and Media Services department at St. Thomas created and produced the videos, including:

• A video of the entire Nov. 4 Orchestra Hall event, where St. Thomas and the Opus Prize Foundation conferred the $1 million Opus Prize on Aïcha Ech Channa of Casablanca, Morocco. Sister Valeriana García-Martín of Bogotá, Colombia, and Father Hans Stapel of Guaratinguetá, Brazil, each received $100,000 awards. Go to the Opus Prize site and click on the "Miss the event?" button.

• An overview video on all three Opus Prize honorees. Go to the Opus Prize site and click on the "Watch the video" button under the headline about Ech Channa winning the $1 million prize.

• Individual videos on the three honorees: Ech Channa, García-Martín and Stapel.

Brad Jacobsen and Dave Nimmer of Web and Media Services and Doug Hennes of University Relations produced the videos.
