The University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business MBA programs are sponsoring the 2010 Twin Cities Corporate Championship (TC3) flag football tournament from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23.
This double-elimination tourney will comprise teams from Target, General Mills, Ameriprise, OptumHealth and other prominent Twin Cities corporations.
Kick-off will be at 9 a.m. at the Academy of Holy Angels, 6600 Nicollet Ave., Richfield. Games will go until 5 p.m. The winner of the tournament will receive a T-shirt and bragging rights for the year. The event is free and open to the public.
In addition to facilitating friendly athletic competition among corporate employees, Twin Cities Corporate Championships has partnered with the nonprofit organization Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota to raise money toward granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
“Last year’s event was such a success, we’re really excited to see what this year will bring. What began as a fun idea has developed into a wonderful event full of socializing, football and, most importantly, an opportunity to give to children who are in need,” said Shanna Davis, president of TC3.
TC3 is accepting team registrations. To learn more about this event, visit the TC3 website or contact Davis, (309) 453-7391.
