St. Thomas will hold an information session for the Fowler Business Concept Challenge on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 4-6:30 p.m. on John P. Monahan Plaza outside of the Anderson Student Center. (S'mores also will be included.)
The Fowler Business Concept Challenge is open to all students at St. Thomas, no matter their field of study. Students compete in undergraduate, graduate and social venture divisions.
As this is a business concept challenge, there's no need for a full business plan. Just an idea for a business or a better way of doing something gives students a shot at part of $60,000 in scholarships.
The Fowler Frenize will take place Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4:30-7 p.m. in the Anderson Student Center, Room 238, where students can meet with entrepreneurship faculty and receive help in improving their business concepts.
Submissions are due Monday, Oct. 31, at 11:59 p.m. The semifinalists will compete Friday, Nov. 18, and will pitch their ideas to a panel of successful local business leaders.
