Great Books Group to meet May 17
St. Thomas' Great Books Reading Group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, in Room 388, Owens Science Hall, to discuss Barbara Ehrenreich's 2001 book, Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America.
The new tentative schedule for the coming months:
- June 14: The Lost Painting: The Quest for a Caravaggio Masterpiece by Jonathan Harr
- July 19: The Red and the Black by Stendhal (pen name for Marie-Henri Beyle, 1783-1842)
- Aug. 30: The Long Loneliness by Dorothy Day
