Wellness Center Stages Annual Heart Hunt

Monday, Feb. 14, is Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time now for the Wellness Center’s annual Heart Hunt. As a fun activity promoting healthy relationships, a wooden heart is hidden somewhere on the St. Thomas campus. Find the heart and win a valuable prize.

heart2,jpgWinning is simple: Just find the hidden heart and return it to the Wellness Center to receive a $100 gift certificate for Chino Latinos, two movie tickets, and a $25 gift certificate for Johnson and Sons Florists.

Clues will be given out daily – published in Bulletin Today, and posted on the Wellness Center door (lower level, Koch Commons) and the Wellness Center website. Clue No. 1 (and a healthy relationship tip) is listed below.

Questions? E-mail the Wellness Center.

Clue No. 1

Be sure to protect your heart from unhealthy relationships like we protect our hearts from the harsh Minnesota winter.

Healthy Relationship Tip No.1

Keep your life balanced. Other people help make our lives satisfying but they can't create that satisfaction for us. Only you can fill your life. Don't overload on activities, but do use your time at college to try new things – clubs, volunteering, lectures, projects. You'll have more opportunities to meet people and more to share with them. Healthy relationships aren't dependent!
