Staff and faculty help still needed
Two big events are happening Friday and Saturday; STAR needs staff and faculty hosts for the events to be successful.
Mike Doughty concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday Oct. 13, on Foley Plaza. Twelve to 15 hosts are needed at the concert. Doughty is the former lead singer of the group Soul Coughing and has a couple of very recent hits on the radio, including "Looking at the World From the Bottom of a Well."
Homecoming Dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Twenty hosts are needed to help STAR at the Homecoming Dance.

Here are some of the events planned for Homecoming Week:
Monday, Oct. 9
- Tickets for the Homecoming Dance go on sale at the Box Office for $5 for students and $10 for guests. (One guest per UST ID.)
- All Aboard ... STAR kicks off the week with giveaways in Foley Plaza over the convocation hour.
Tuesday, Oct. 10: Tommie Tuesday
- STAR giveaways on Foley Plaza over the convocation hour
- Royalty and RHA competitions on Foley Plaza over convocation hour
- Student Alumni Council sponsors root beer floats over the convocation hour
Wednesday, Oct. 11
- Captains Dinner at 5 p.m. in Binz Refectory, south campus
- Volleyball game at 7 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 12
- ACC sponsors hot chocolate and cider over the convocation hour
- STAR giveaways on Foley Plaza over the convocation hour
- Royalty and RHA competitions on Foley Plaza over the convocation hour
- Wellness spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. for participants in Saturday's 5K run/walk
Friday, Oct. 13
- Registration for Wellness 5K run/walk from 4 to 5 p.m. at the arches
- 5K run/walk from arches to Foley Plaza from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
- Pep fest begins at 5:45 p.m. in the Field House
- STAR's outdoor concert featuring Mike Doughty on Foley Plaza at 7 p.m.
- Wellness House get together at 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 14
- Parade lines up on Fry Street at 9:15 a.m.
- STAR's parade begins down Summit Avenue at 10:15 am.
- Taste of Saints 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 1 p.m. football game against Augsburg
- Homecoming Dance, "Come Sail Away: A Formal Affair in the Field House," 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Breakfast from midnight to 2 a.m. in the student cafeteria, sponsored by ACC

- Monday: Purple and white sprinkled frosted donuts – 60 cents all week
- Tuesday: "Come Sail Away" Mandarin chicken wrap with fruit garnish, $4
- Wednesday: School Spirit frozen yogurt – purple and white: waffle cone or 12 oz. cup, $2.50
- Thursday: Two tacos for $3, starting at 11 a.m.
- Friday: Popcorn chicken, regular of buffalo, with fries, $4.75
