'The Human Experience' to be shown Feb. 15

Campus Ministry, Catholic Studies and the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will host a showing of the highly acclaimed movie “The Human Experience,” which was shown last spring at St. Thomas to an overflowing audience and rave reviews.

This year’s event will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, in the auditorium of the John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts. Tickets will be required and will be available beginning Monday, Feb. 8, in the Box Office, located in the lower level of Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

According to the film's Web site, "The Human Experience" is "the story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one-on-one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit."

The filmmakers will be on hand to take questions on Feb. 15.
