The writing career of Jenna Duncan '11 turned a new page on Aug. 29, the six-year anniversary of Huricane Katrina, with the publication of her first book: Hurricane.
A young-adult paranormal romance, Hurricane is set in Duncan’s hometown, New Orleans, La., during the days leading up to Hurricane Katrina. The novel follows 17-year-old Adriana “Ana” Alexander, who is kidnapped by Hayden and Luke Boudreax, two classmates from her high school, during hurricane season.
The book is published by Salem, N.H.-based Divertir Publishing, and is available in paperback and ebook through Divertir Publishing, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. A portion of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity-New Orelans.
