Pet surrenders are on the rise and animal rescue groups are trying to fight the concerning trend in new ways.
A group of St. Thomas data science graduate students recently worked with Secondhand Hounds to overhaul their surrender intake process. FOX 9 News featured the project and its work to give the rescue new digital tools.
