Manjeet Rege, software engineering and data science professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Engineering, recently spoke to WCCO-TV about how to keep personal information safe.

From the story:
Charging documents against Vance Boelter, 57, include an image from a notebook that contained several websites used to look up personal information. As Caroline Cummings reports, it’s making lawmakers look again at the information available at everyone’s fingertips.
Experts say the internet has made it easier to track down personal information about yourself, even when you think you’re being safe online. But there are proactive steps that can be taken.
“Ask yourself, does this need to be public information? If not, don’t share it. Whether that’s your day-to-day grocery schedule, or your home interior. This is not to scare everyone. You should trust, but you have to verify," said Manjeet Rege.
