Interested in carrying your country's flag at December graduation?

International students and citizens of other countries: Are you graduating in December 2008? Would you like to carry your country's flag in the commencement ceremony?

International students and citizens of other countries graduating in December can carry their country's flag in the commencement procession. If you would like to represent your country, e-mail the Office of International Student Services no later than Friday, Nov. 21.

Only one person per country and ceremony will be allowed to carry their country's flag. The first person to sign up from a country will be that country's flag bearer.

According to the St. Thomas Flag Policy, only flags of countries that are member states of the United Nations can be carried. For a list of member states, visit the United Nations Web page.
