The IEC notes that:

  • During J-Term, 451 students will study off campus, including 80 graduate students. Students are studying in 26 different UST and UMAIE courses, and 33 faculty and staff are serving as program directors.
  • During spring semester, 108 students will study abroad. Students will be based in more than 30 countries, including Jordan, Oman and the Dominican Republic.
  • The center has welcomed a record number of undergraduate international students to St. Thomas this year. IEC’s international ambassadors continue to be busy reaching out to prospective international students.
  • Undergrads, mark your calendars: The annual Study Abroad Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in Campus Square. Stop by to speak directly to the IEC’s co-sponsored semester and year-program partners. January Term 2012 courses also will be announced.
