Information Resources and Technologies will upgrade the Internet Native Banner Oracle database on the weekend of June 11-12.
This system upgrade will bring IRT's central systems onto the latest database version from Oracle, which provides new enhancements and ensures that UST systems remain in support compliance. IRT also will apply an upgrade to the Cognos Development and Production reporting environments on Sunday, June 12.
What's happening
The following systems will be down for several hours during the weekend:
- Banner
- Murphy Online
- Cognos (reporting tool)
- ODSP (reporting database)
- Some functionality of the www.stthomas.edu website also will be unavailable.
How this will impact you
Banner Prod and Murphy Online will be unavailable during the upgrade on Saturday, June 11. ODSP will be upgraded after certification of Banner Prod and should not require a reload of the data. ODSP will be unavailable for several hours on Sunday, June 12, during its upgrade. All Cognos environments will unavailable during the upgrade from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12.
