International Student Services will host several events this fall for students, faculty and staff:
CultureLink tea is a country presentation by an international student. Refreshments will be served, and all teas will begin at 2 p.m. in Scooter's (first floor, Anderson Student Center):
- Brazil – Tuesday, Sept. 25: Luciani De Souza, a graduate student in Human Resource and Change Leadership Program as well as a student worker in ISS, will give a presentation of her home country. A native dish and tea will be served.
- Dominican Republic – Thursday, Oct. 18. Details forthcoming.
- Saudi Arabia: – Tuesday, Nov. 13. Details forthcoming.
International Education Week: Nov. 12-16. Events will occur throughout the week.
Thanksgiving family-match program: Sign up to host an international student for Thanksgiving dinner. More information will be available in October, or contact Samba Dieng, assistant director, International Student Services.
International Student Services provides services to more than 400 international students from over 60 countries. ISS advises international students on immigration, cultural adjustment as well as campus resources. The staff at ISS work to integrate international students with U.S. students to aid in the cultural adjustment process and to offer numerous programs to do so.
