Journalism and mass communication majors encouraged to apply for scholarships
Journalism and mass communication majors are encouraged to apply for one of several scholarships to be awarded by the Journalism and Mass Communication Department. Last year, the department made awards that ranged from $600 to $3,000 to 15 students.
The deadline for scholarship applications is Wednesday, March 15, 2006.
Students can obtain a 2006 scholarship application form from the Journalism and Mass Communication Web site and then download the PDF file. When downloading the application, students should be sure they’re getting the 2006 version. Earlier versions of the application live on in cyberspace, thanks to Google, but applicants should not use them, or they’ll write the wrong application essay.
Students also may stop by the department in Room 460, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center, to pick up a 2006 application form.
