KUST to host second annual Social Awareness Week
St. Thomas campus radio station KUST will host its second annual Social Awareness week Nov. 4-10.
The event is a weeklong dedication of KUST programming to raise awareness of important social issues in local and global communities. DJs have chosen a subject to discuss on their shows. Issues range from the genocide in Darfur to supporting groups that give musical instruments to at-risk youth to awareness of the St. Thomas VISION program.
Radio shows during the week will include music, facts, discussion and action items related to specific topics.
Tune in to KUST and Channel 9 on campus television throughout the week to learn more about these issues and programs.
