Leaders Engaging in Active Development (LEAD) is officially a UST-sponsored club and will be holding a celebratory and informational meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in McNeely Hall, Room 100.
There will be food, an informal informational session and social hour. Those who are interested will have the opportunity to meet the LEAD executive board and hear what LEAD is about from a student perspective and from a leadership and management faculty perspective. Audience members will be encouraged to share input on what they think LEAD should provide going forward.
LEAD's mission is simple: promote and encourage students to lead through active, engaging and diverse opportunities designed to refine and develop leadership skills. LEAD aims to bridge the gap between where education ends and real-world experience begins. Discussions are facilitated to improve leadership skills while challenging students to connect these skills to life outside of the classroom.
