The UST community is invited to stop by the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center for a piece of birthday cake – as the library celebrates the actual day when 50 years ago – on Oct. 29, 1959 (ironically, also a Thursday) – the O’Shaughnessy Library was dedicated.
The celebration starts at 1:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, on the first floor of the library. Cake will be served until it's gone. The cake, unlike the library, is not expected to last long. In addition, have some fun by learning how to make a toy balloon – wear it for Halloween – or bring it home to a younger brother or sister.
