Library Today: Feedback Needed as Database Trials Month Continues

Research database trial month at UST Libraries continues with the resources listed below. UST students, faculty and staff are invited to try these products and then send in comments and suggestions. All database trials are available with detailed descriptions, librarian contacts and trial dates via the UST Libraries blog. Your feedback is appreciated.

Research databases:

Digital Library of the Catholic Reformation is a collection of original language writings from the 14th to the 19th centuries by Catholic authors on a variety of topics relating to the Reformation of the Catholic Church in the early modern era.

Tell Me More is a language-learning resource that focuses on the four core language-learning skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. Enhance language skills with vocabulary and grammar exercises.

World Scholar: Latin America and the Caribbean covers Latin American culture and society from the 15th century to the present and includes newspapers and other archival material.

PrivCo is a source for business and financial research on more than 20,000 major privately held U.S. companies.

Plunkett Research provides industry and business-specific research portals for important business sectors, from energy and e-commerce to retailing and banking.

Global Markets and Companies is a sister database to the international industry resource GBI Research (see below); this database provides international company information.

Global Business Intelligence Research offers in-depth strategic intelligence reports across a range of important and emerging industry sectors.

MLA (new platform) is a detailed bibliography of journal articles, books and dissertations.

Emerald 175 (additional collections) provides scholarly full-text management and international management journal articles.
