Library Today: UST Libraries lists services, spaces, resources.

Welcome to UST Libraries! We’d like to introduce ourselves and hope that you will make use of our services, spaces and resources.

Multiple libraries and service points are available at St. Thomas’ Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses (see the Locations, Directions and Parking Web page):

In St. Paul:

  •  O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center
    • Archives/Special Collections – tunnel level
    • Media Resources Collection – third floor, Room 309
    • Coffee Bené – first floor
  • Archbishop Ireland Memorial Library (supporting the seminary and theology programs)
  • Music Resource Center

In Minneapolis:

  • Charles J. Keffer Library (supporting graduate programs in business, education and professional psychology)
  • Schoenecker Law Library

Study rooms are available in each location in addition to tables and carrels throughout the buildings.

Research tools and resources

Numerous databases and collections of books and journals are provided to help with research needs. Computers are available – check out the Find Open Computers link on the UST Libraries home page to see which are open for use.

Print collections

In addition to more than 660,700 books owned by UST Libraries, access to the collections of the Cooperating Libraries in Consortium allows for quick, easy access to books. A courier brings requested material to St. Thomas every day and may be picked up at the location you have chosen. If we don’t have what you need, contact the Interlibrary Loan Department for material outside St. Thomas’ collections.

Staff

Each library location has staff to assist you in finding materials or answering questions about research, the collections and most other topics. We are here to help with your research and academic work; please ask for assistance.
