The University of St. Thomas Bookstores, St. Paul and Minneapolis, are co-sponsoring the first annual National Student Day along with the National Association of College Stores. College and university bookstores across the country want to say “thank you” to students with hectic class and work schedules who still find time to volunteer their time for worthy causes.
It’s all about celebrating and promoting social responsibility by students across North America. This day is for students who volunteer as a Big Brother or Sister, help out at a homeless shelter or other causes, and those still looking for ways to give back to society.
UST Bookstores offer special to celebrate the day
The UST Bookstores want to recognize students’ good deeds and encourage their peers who might be looking for a gentle push toward helping others. In recognition of the first annual National Student Day, the Bookstores are offering a discount of $5 off their backpacks and sweatshirts on Thursday, Oct. 6.
