Networking event for graduate business students and alumni
Lisa L. Foote, director of donor services for Greater Twin Cities United Way, will present “Flying Solo: How to End PowerPoint Dependency in Your Presentation,” at Master’s Connection networking breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Room 201 Opus Hall.
Foote, a 1994 St. Thomas graduate with an M.B.A. degree, maintains that presenting information in compelling and effective ways is a challenge most professionals share. Unfortunately, PowerPoint has become a crutch for many, both in creating and presenting information. She will show how to detach yourself from PowerPoint dependency that can distort your message and bore your audience.
Come for the presentation and stay for some networking. The cost of the event is $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance registration is requested.
Visit the Master’s Connection Web site for the registration form and list of fall topics.
