New UST policies on sexual harassment and violence topic of series Feb. 12, 13 and 15

The University Committee on Women will sponsor a series of events, "Knowing Where to Turn: The New Policies on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment at UST," on Feb. 12, 13 and 15.

Schedule of events:

  • "Turning to Someone at a Sexual Assault Center"
    3-4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center.
    Featured will be Rebecca Lucast, a UST student and volunteer advocate with Sexual Offense Services of Ramsey County.
  • "Turning to Someone at UST: UST's New Policies"
    11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, in Room 102, O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center, and telecast to Room LL 09, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus.
    Panelists Karen Lange, dean of students; Dr. Jeri Rockett from Personal Counseling; Edna Comedy, Human Resources; and Dr. Buffy Smith, Sociology Department, will discuss UST's new policies on sexual violence and harrassment.
  • "Turning to Ourselves: Learning the Basics of Self-Defense"
    6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in Dowling Hall.
