The Nonexempt Staff Council will host a brown bag session Friday, March 30, on the topic of elder care. The program will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Schulze Hall, Room 314 (Minneapolis campus).

The presentation will focus on questions such as “What legal issues should I anticipate when ‘parenting a parent’?" and “What should I anticipate when contacting an attorney regarding these issues?”
Laura Orr, clinical law fellow at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, will facilitate the discussion and address issues related to health care directives, powers of attorney, paying for long-term care and ethical considerations that could affect how an attorney interacts with you, the “parent of a parent.”
Participants’ questions are welcome.
