Information sessions will be held this evening and tomorrow afternoon for domestic and international off-campus study programs that UST students can participate in through the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA).
HECUA is an organization of 18 universities and colleges that are dedicated to education for social justice. HECUA offers programs that emphasize interdisciplinary and experiential learning through seminars, independent study, classes and internships.
HECUA offers programs abroad based in:
- Norway
- Northern Ireland
- New Zealand
- Bangladesh
- Ecuador
Domestic programs include:
- Environmental Sustainability
- City Arts
- Writing for Social Change
- MUST: Poverty, Inequality and Social Change
- Race in America
- Environment and Agriculture

Information sessions will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov 14, in Room 152, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in Room 201, John R. Roach Center for the Liberal Arts.
All are welcome to join and learn more about these opportunities, and to talk to UST student alumni about their experiences through HECUA. The event includes free pizza and possibly a few giveaways.
