Open Interviews Start Wednesday for General Counsel-chief Human Resources Finalists

A search committee for the University of St. Thomas’ general counsel and chief human resources officer interviewed candidates over the past few weeks and has narrowed the field to six finalists.

Open interview sessions for the campus community to meet and hear from the candidates will be held as follows:

Wednesday, July 13, 9 a.m., Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
Jeff Vigil, director, senior litigation counsel in the law department at HealthPartners. Vigil’s J.D. is from the University of Iowa, and he holds a B.A. in accounting from Rockhurst University.

Wednesday, July 13, 1 p.m., Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
Kathleen Sanberg, Minnesota Tax Court judge. Sanberg’s J.D. is from the University of Minnesota, and she holds a B.A. in psychology also from the University of Minnesota.

Thursday, July 14, 9 a.m., Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
William Egan, partner with Oppenheimer, Wolff & Donnelly, Minneapolis. His J.D. is from William Mitchell College of Law, and he holds a B.A. in American studies from the University of Notre Dame.

Joan Harris is currently managing counsel in the law department at Wells Fargo & Company. Harris’ J.D. is from the University of Minnesota, and her B.A. is from Drake University.

Friday, July 15, 10:15 a.m., Rogge Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
Joanne Jirkik Mullen currently works as a consultant primarily with universities and other organizations on policy-related and workplace issues. Mullen’s J.D. is from William Mitchell College of Law, and she has a B.A. in English from the College of St. Catherine.

Friday, July 15, 2 p.m., Fireside Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
Details are currently being confirmed with the sixth finalist.
