Panel discussion April 6 on ‘Globalization and Human Rights’

A discussion on “Globalization and Human Rights” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium. Ethnic food will be provided.

An hourlong PBS program on the same theme will be shown, followed by a panel of international students from Liberia, Argentina, Uzbekistan, Chile and, perhaps, Gabon. These students will describe how globalization looks in their home countries and give many international perspectives.

The Globally Minded Students Association and the Justice and Peace Studies Program, with help from the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department and the Foreign Policy Club, co-sponsor the discussion.
