Panel discussion on careers for English majors is Friday

Are you an English major and having trouble figuring out what career options you have? Would you like to get firsthand advice from professionals in the field?

Sigma Tau Delta Literary Club will host a panel presentation on careers for English majors. Five professionals will share their insights about the value of English studies as a solid foundation for a successful career. Learn about the many options available to English majors.

The career panel will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, April 17, in the O'Shaughnessy Room (leather room), Room 108, of the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center.

Panelists will include:

  • Christi Collett, associate copywriter, FindLaw
  • Rian Fried, chief executive officer, Clean Yield Investment Group
  • Janna Knittel, grant writer, Ordway Center
  • Cortney Napurski, writer and producer, FOX 9 News
  • Matthew Stovall, interim head of English and theater, St. Bernard's School
