Pepsi is installing new vending machines on campus

The Pepsi Co. is in the process of installing new vending machines on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas, according to Bruce Van den Berghe, associate vice president of auxiliary services.

The changeover began Tuesday, July 1, and is expected to be completed by Wednesday, July 16.

The university's Minneapolis campus is scheduled to have its vending machines replaced from Monday, July 28, to Thursday, July 31.

Van den Berghe explained that during each transition, existing machines will be emptied to make them lighter so they can be safely moved to make room for the new machines.

He said Pepsi will try to maintain at least one operational vending machine in each bank of machines so that cold beverages will be available during the transition.

"We apologize in advance for any inconvenience during this changeover," Van den Berghe said.
