Personal Counseling offers three groups for fall semester

Personal Counseling and Testing announces three groups that will meet this fall in the Personal Counseling and Testing group room, Room 370, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.

Creating Positive Body Image Group

This is a group for women who are interested in improving their body image through talking with others, creative activity and personal reflection. The goal of the group is to help students accept their bodies and, in turn, themselves. The group meets during the convocation hour from noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays. E-mail Deb Broderick or Jan Townsend for more information, or call (651) 962-6780.

Support Group for Returning Veterans

Created for students who have served their country and now are returning to the classroom, this group has two goals: to provide individuals with campus support and to connect veterans with each other. In a safe and confidential atmosphere, members will have the opportunity to transition to the University of St. Thomas and the many challenges of academic life. The group meets during the convocation hour from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesdays. E-mail Steve Maurer or Laura Sherr for more information, or call (651) 962-6780.

Relationships Group

How do you relate to the people in your life? Ever wonder how others see you? Get feedback and ideas for addressing these questions and enhance your personal relationships, increase self-awareness and strengthen communication skills. The group meets from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesdays. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, call (651) 962-6780 or e-mail Sarah Armstrong or Sandra Sanger.
