Wellness Center, STAR present fall Pilates classes

Pilates classes for students, faculty and staff begin next week.

Pilates mat work increases flexibility, strength and alignment. Get a low-impact workout that conditions core muscles and increases mind-body awareness of balance and stability. Pilates improves posture as it increases ease of movement in everyday activities and decreases stress. No experience is necessary. Learn to relax body and mind with gentle breathing and stretching exercises. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a mat or towel to class.

Classes will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays (begins Sept. 14) in the Koch Commons Fireside Room.

The first class in each session is free. After the first trial session, a punch card can be purchased anytime. Cost is $35 for faculty and staff and $20 for students. The card is valid for any six sessions.

Punch cards can be purchased at the Box Office, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and at the Life-Work Center in Suite 110, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus.
