Dr. Meg Wilkes Karraker, Sociology and Criminal Justice Department, presented a paper, "Values, Norms and Mutual Commitment for Diversity in the New Academy," co-written by Dr. Buffy Smith, Sociology and Criminal Justice Department, at a Nov. 11 meeting in Chicago of the Association of American Colleges and Universities' Network for Academic Renewal.
Dr. Sandy Rummel, School of Education, was elected to the Minnesota Senate (District 53) on Nov. 7. She also is a graduate of the School of Education's doctoral program in leadership, policy and administration, having received her Ed.D. in 1996.
