Dr. Meg Wilkes Karraker, Sociology and Criminal Justice Department, reports that her syllabus for "Gender in Global Perspective" has been selected and published in The Sociology of Gender: Syllabi and Other Instructional Materials, edited by B. Lucal and A. Blackstone (Washington, D.C.: American Sociological Association).
Dr. Thomas Redshaw, English Department, gave a talk describing the contributions of Dublin's Raven Arts Press to Irish culture in the 1980s to 30 members of the Ampersand Club at their meeting Feb. 22 in the St. Thomas library. Jim Rogers, Center for Irish Studies, introduced Redshaw. Ann Kenne, Special Collections Department, arranged an informal exhibition of Raven Arts publications. The university has acquired the complete output of Raven Arts Press through the generosity of the Kingsley Murphy Family Foundation.
