Professor Lisa Abendroth Named New Evening MBA Faculty Director

Dean Lenway has been very clear in her dedication to strengthening the Evening MBA program, and one of her first steps was to appoint Professor Lisa Abendroth as Faculty Director for the Evening MBA.  This is a new position focused on curriculum and will operate alongside the current administrative and advising staff.

Professor Abendroth led the OCB faculty in launching the blended format courses in 2012 and regularly teaches the core marketing class, Marketing Management, in both the classroom and blended formats.  In the past few years, she co-designed and led 2 new study abroad courses, Marketing in Emerging Markets: South America, which is running again this January, and India:  Marketing in a Mega Market, which ran last January.  She also regularly teaches executive education programs.

Prior to joining OCB in 2007, Abendroth was faculty director for the Evening MBA program at Boston University.  In that position, she oversaw a redesign of their curriculum and made other improvements that led the program to become highly ranked (15th – Business Week 2007).

Her initial priorities are to enhance program delivery and lead a comprehensive curriculum review and redesign, to ensure our graduates are well-prepared for successful careers in an increasingly dynamic, technological, and global economy.  She will be looking for input from current students along the way, so watch your UST email for invitations to participate in a survey and/or focus group.

Abendroth is looking for a paid graduate intern (max 10 hours per week) to support these important efforts.
